Lifelong Aviation Enthusiasts

Dan Weaver’s path into aviation began on a farm in rural Mississippi, where airplanes represented far more than transportation. As the youngest of five boys, Dan watched two of his older brothers leave home to serve as bush pilots in Africa and Central America, using aviation to reach remote communities that would otherwise remain isolated. Seeing firsthand how an airplane could deliver medical care, support local development, and connect people across vast distances left a lasting impression.

Determined to follow a similar path, Dan enrolled at Moody Aviation in Tennessee, earning his A&P mechanic certificate before continuing his flight training in Kansas, where he completed his Commercial, Instrument, and Multi Engine ratings.

His first assignment took him to Haiti, flying community and church leaders throughout the country. After marrying his wife, Kristi, the couple spent nearly ten years living and serving in Suriname, Guatemala, and Ecuador. While Dan flew missions supporting medical teams, community development initiatives, and humanitarian organizations, Kristi taught in international schools. Together, they built a life centered around service, aviation, and cross-cultural work.

Returning to the United States brought a new chapter. Dan joined the business aviation industry, holding leadership positions with two major aircraft manufacturers in Engineering, Field Support, Product Support, and global turboprop support management. He later transitioned into aircraft sales and asset management, overseeing the acquisition and disposition of pre-owned business aircraft and participating in more than 200 transactions across North America and Europe.

After the pandemic, Dan recognized an opportunity to combine the technical expertise gained as a mechanic and pilot with decades of experience in aircraft support, transactions, and valuation. In 2022, he founded Avrios Aviation to provide independent, credible aircraft appraisal services built on real-world industry experience.

Today, Dan brings a rare combination of operational, technical, and transactional knowledge to every assignment, helping clients make informed decisions with confidence.
