Aircraft Appraisal Process Overview
The process begins with a conversation with the client to understand the purpose and scope of the appraisal (e.g., financing, sale, tax, legal). We determine the type of value required (usually Fair Market Value) and formalize the agreement with the client.
We gather detailed information on the aircraft from the client along with FAA records and ownership history. For a Full appraisal, this step will include an on-site review of the aircraft and records.
Relevant comparable aircraft, current listings, and recent transactions are collected and analyzed. We use one of 4 valuation methodologies—usually the sales comparison approach—and adjust for differences between aircraft.
Using the information from step 3, we develop a conclusion of the aircraft value (typically Fair Market Value) and prepare a report that documents the data, methodology, assumptions, and analysis used in reaching that conclusion.
The final report includes the Value of your aircraft along with supporting documentation, certifications, assumptions, limiting conditions, and appraiser credentials. The report will meet USPAP standards, making it reliable and defensible.
Beyond standard appraisals, we offer aircraft valuation services for jets, expert evaluations, and advisory services tailored to specific needs, such as damage assessment, residual value, and pre-purchase due diligence.
Trusted expertise, proven results, and USPAP Compliant Appraisals delivered with integrity and precision.
